What You Can Expect From

McMaster Obstetric Medicine

We provide Medical Specialist assessment, advice, and treatment for medical problems a woman may have during or when planning a pregnancy.

Some medical problems occur unexpectedly in pregnancy; we are available for immediate consultation if necessary (see Contact Us). Generally, we and patients prefer a more planned approach. We provide outpatient clinic consultations, usually within 2 – 3 weeks, although we can arrange outpatient appointments more urgently, even same day, if necessary. We also provide inpatient assessments at McMaster Women’s Hospital as well as consultations for admitted pregnant patients at Hamilton Hospitals on a case by case basis.

We provide a full Medical Specialist consultation. If necessary we can expedite access to specialized investigations or involvement of other specialists, or treatments through the Medical Day Unit.

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive assessment and plan for management of the woman’s medical problem(s). This may be as simple as an expert assessment and reassurance but may be more complex and sometimes involves coordinating with a number of other specialist services.

Please allow yourself extra time for parking.

Parking is available underground at a cost of $3.50 per ½ hour and up to a maximum of $20.00 per day. Parking in the Yellow section is closest to the Boris Clinic.

Parking packages with reduced rates are available at the Parking Office.
Free parking is available for 1-3 hours on the south side of Main Street.
